2024 Ford Mustang GT Engine, Colors, SpecsThe Mustang GT and GT Premium have the same standard features as the EcoBoost variants, except that the GT is propelled by a roaring 5.0-liter V8 engine instead of a four-cylinder turbo. Different rear axle ratios, various wheel configurations, and Recaro Sport seats are some of the performance-oriented add-ons and packages you may have for your Audi. Add California flair to your ride with the California Special Package, which includes 19-inch black wheels, suede seat inserts with black and red stitching, unique door panel inserts, an aluminum dashboard finish, and more.

The massive V8 engine of the Shelby GT350 and GT350R reaches over 8,000 thanks to a unique flat-plane crankshaft. It has a particular motor that borrows technologies from exotic supercars. Larger V8 engines often provide greater low-end torque at the expense of top-end power because of their inability to rev as high. There are no such benefits with the Shelby GT350. The GT350 has a package that makes it look more aggressive, magnetic shocks, and several emblems inside.

2024 Ford Mustang GT Redesign

The exterior of the 2024 Mustang GT has not been altered and still features the familiar tall hood and imposing profile that are hallmarks of previous models. All-LED headlights and sequential LED taillights are employed. LEDs also power the vehicle’s daytime running lights and fog lights. There is unique “5.0” badging on the GT’s front wings behind the wheels, and the circular Mustang emblem on the back no longer depicts a galloping horse but reads “GT” instead. Additionally, a spoiler-delete option for the elevated decklid spoiler or a performance rear wing can be ordered in its place. Back there, a diffuser and quad GT dual exhaust tips finish the design. The stock wheels are 18 inches in diameter, and a few other 19-inch options are also available.

Ford has reorganized the GT color options for the 2024 model year, reducing the number of possible hues from 14 to 12. Screamy colors like Antimatter Blue, Grabber Yellow, Twister Orange, and Velocity Blue have been crossed from the list. This year’s new hues are metallics, including the cool Atlas Blue, the flashy Cyber Orange ($695), the sad Dark Matter Gray, the explosive Eruption Green, the sly Grabber Blue, and the mischievous Purple. Shadow Black, Oxford White, Silver Metallic, Race Red, Rapid Red Metallic ($495), Dark Matter Gray Metallic, and Carbonized Gray Metallic are still being offered. A two-tone style is possible with the addition of a black roof. With the optional Black Accent Package, the hood, wheels, emblems, grille, mirror caps, and shelter are all blacked out.

Interior

The next Mustang’s interior design and materials will mirror the present model. There’s plenty of room for four people within the cabin. The base front seats are manually adjustable, but a 6-way power driver’s seat and 4-way power passenger’s seat are available as add-ons. There is a 50/50 split-folding bench seat in the back, but there is just enough capacity for two people because of the low ceiling. Once you go closer to the dashboard, you’ll notice that it’s well laid out and has all the controls right where the driver and front passenger need them. There are just enough buttons, and they’re all relatively minor, to keep the interior design minimal. The same procedure is carried over to the doors, which now have concealed armrests.

Ford has made astute use of valuable materials all over the cockpit, including hard plastics and machine-finished metal trimmings, while the steering wheel is upholstered in leather. Two cupholders, a sizable glovebox, a modest but adequate amount of space beneath the front center armrest, a secret storage room to the left of the steering wheel, and a little free space immediately in front of the gear knob are all you need for storage.

Engine

Since Ford has not announced any changes to the Mustang’s powertrain for the 2024 model year, the present setup will remain unchanged. The standard machine is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost that produces 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. With the high-performance package, you may enjoy 332 horsepower and increased torque. With the larger turbo compressor, fine-tuned engine, and increased cooling capacity, this package is the Mustang’s most powerful 4-cylinder engine. The forthcoming muscle car has rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual transmission.

The muscle car has decent handling because of its basic four-wheel independent suspension and the optional MagneRide dampers, which make the ride more comfortable and manageable. Because the 2024 Ford Mustang GT will likely use the same engine and drivetrain, we may expect it to perform similarly to the current generation. The highest speed of the 2021 Mustang is 155 mph, and it can go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. In 13.7 seconds, a quarter of a mile is run. The high-performance package would lower these timestamps while maintaining the same maximum speed.

2024 Ford Mustang GT Release Date and Price

In 2024, a Ford Mustang GT with a manual transmission will cost $37,275, while the automated version will cost an additional $1,595. However, if you want the more luxurious GT Premium, you’ll have to shell out $41,275 for the manual transmission and $1,595 for the automatic. Even if it’s only for the sake of the nice leather and upgraded audio system, the extra $4,000 is well spent. Most of the visual additions would be wasted on us unless we were determined to make the vehicle uniquely ours. The Mustang looks a little under-wheeled on the stock 18s, so we’d recommend upgrading to some better 19s or 20s. The costs shown are suggested retail prices and do not include the mandatory $1,195 destination charge or other taxes or fees. Ford has scheduled the 2024 Fusion Hybrid’s debut in the States for the summer of that year.
