While the Mustang has flaws, its popularity is based on much more than its renowned brand.
2024 Ford Mustang Redesign
2024 model year, but it does introduce some new styling packages across the Mustang lineup. Ford now offers the Stealth Edition on Eco Boost Premium cars in the Eco Boost family. This package includes 19-inch black-painted alloy wheels, a Stealth illuminated sill plate, black badging, a black grille, a performance rear wing, black mirror caps, and clear LED tail lights with sequential turn signals.
The 2024 Ford Mustang Ice White Edition is finished in Oxford White with iced-out taillamps and includes a black and white interior with an aluminum appliqué on the dash and white accent stitching on the center console. The Coastal Limited Edition Package is now available on Eco Boost Premium Convertible and Fastback models. It includes three different paint colors- Red, Cyber Orange, and Brittany Blue- and distinctive vinyl striping that runs from the hood to the beltline and into the rear quarters.
Interior
While the 2024 Ford Mustang inside is better than ever may seem appealing to first-time purchasers, long-time Mustang enthusiasts know that these pony cars have never been recognized for their interior quality. Fortunately, the sixth generation saw a significant increase in general build quality and design, and the 2024 model is rather lovely.
We admire the cabin’s generational design, which incorporates robust style, a practical layout, and some good standard amenities and technology. You’ll still find some cheap-feeling plastics if you look closely, but the overall package is robust. The Mustang’s two-plus-two seating configuration unabashedly favors front seat occupants, but such is the nature of coupe living.
Engine
The 2024 Ford Mustang Coupe is powered by a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine derived from the Ford Focus RS of the previous generation. This engine has been modified to 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque for the Mustang. The rear wheels (where else?) receive power via a six-speed manual transmission or an optional ten-speed automatic transmission. The ten-speed automatic transmission utilizes a 3.15 limited-slip rear axle, while the six-speed manual transmission utilizes a 3.55 limited-slip rear axle.
This engine is more than capable of entertaining, regardless of whether you choose the manual or automatic transmission, but we always prefer the more thrilling six-speed shooter. If you’re only interested in 0-60 mph times and weekend drag racing, the ten-speed automatic may be preferable, but it takes a lot of the pleasure out of owning a rear-wheel-drive sports vehicle. The 2.3-liter high-performance option doubles the turbo compressor’s capacity, adds a bigger radiator, and modifies the ECU slightly to produce a total of 330 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque.
2024 Ford Mustang Release Date and Price
The 2024 Ford Mustang is not the cheapest vehicle in the American lineup, but it still delivers excellent value. The entry-level model is priced at $27,205 in the United States, minus tax, registration, and a $1,195 destination charge. If you choose the premium variant, the MSRP increases to $32,225. Fully outfitted, the Ford Mustang will cost about $50,000. The Chevrolet Camaro Coupe has a starting MSRP of $25,000, whereas the Dodge Challenger begins at $30,430.
