Ford Everest 2023 Interior, Redesign, Release – The first generation of Ford Everest was introduced way back in 2000 for the 2001 year model. It is a compact crossover that became an instant hit just after its release due to its agility and durability. Everest was jointly developed with Mazda’s Tribute and both the models were released simultaneously in the automobile market. It comes with an exceptional price tag and offers maximum comfort and space. Everest ranked 6th among 17 other cars in the list of Best compact SUVs.
We recommend going for the SE trim and adding either the Cold Weather Package or the Convenience Package as per your requirement to your Everest SE. The reason for recommending this trim is simple as you get all necessary features like push-button start, SYNC3 infotainment, and can be had with Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist system.
Ford Everest 2023 Redesign
Exterior
The 2023 Ford Everest will see some minor changes in the exterior. You will see some new curves here and there. We are not sure if Ford would add more exterior color options. As compared to the 2020 version it is now 2.4-inches longer and 1.7-inch wider than before. It will boast the same sportier and fancy look with no boxy characteristics. The front grille, LED Headlights, body aerodynamics will see some minor changes to make it look more sharp and bold. The rear end has been kept simple, with oval taillights, curvy edges, and dual exhaust outlets.
No doubt, the Everest is the heaviest of all. Moreover, it could have been better if the ground clearance was made higher. RAV4 has a good ground clearance of 8.4-inches which proves who is better at off-road capabilities. Mazda CX-5 stays quite low on the ground as compared to other rivals in the segment. But the Mazda and the Ford have the longest wheelbase of more than 106 inches which translates into better interior space.
Interior
The 2022 Ford Everest had a budget quality interior but it was spacious and comfortable. We are expecting the same interior build quality to be carried forward for the 2023 model year as well. We will mostly get a dark-themed interior. Fabric upholstered seats will be standard in the base trim level while the top trim will come with either faux leather or full-leather upholstery. The overall dash design and control layout will be ergonomically done with a good view up front thanks to the good amount of adjustability possible for the seats.
The available leather-wrapped steering wheel will feature some simple controls for the infotainment system. Also, an optional sun/moon roof will be available. On the flip side, you will still find low-quality plastic panels on the doors and center console. Opting for the Cold Weather Package will add heated front row seats, side-view mirrors, and a steering wheel. Other than that a power liftgate, multi-zone climate control, keyless entry, rear center armrest, the remote engine start will be available in the Convenience Package.
Ford Everest 2023 Engine
The Ford Everest was fully updated in the 2020 model year with a hybrid and PHEV variant added to the lineup, so no under the hood we expect no big changes for the 2023 model. Thus the Everest will be powered by the same 1.5-L Turbo Inline-3 and a 2.0-L Turbo Inline-4 engine. The former churns out 181 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque while the latter puts out 250 horses and 280 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and can be had in either FWD as standard or optional AWD. AWD will be offered as standard on the Titanium trim.
Since the powertrain is the same as last year we expect the 2023 Everest to do 0-60 MPH in just 8.9 seconds and quarter-mile coming in 16.6 seconds. While the turbo inline-4 would be able to do 0-60 mph in 7.7 seconds. As for the rivals, the Mazda CX-5 with 0-60 mph time of 8.3 seconds is the fastest. Next comes Toyota RAV4 with 0-60 mph time of 9.1 seconds followed by Honda CR-V doing 0-60 mph in a lazy 9.3 seconds.
